A historical ensemble paired with state-of-the-art technology
Ehrenberg was once a mighty defensive fortress, administrative seat and customs station. Today the four parts of the fortress are known as "Castle World Ehrenberg".
Every year, the Ehrenberg Castle World attracts thousands of visitors. A suspension bridge over 400m long spans the valley at a dizzying height. An adventure museum and a nature exhibition bring visitors closer to earlier eras and the "Tiroler Lech Nature Park". The various historic rooms provide a more than worthy setting for events of all kinds. Excellent gastronomy and a 3-star hotel with a total of 28 "rooms" complete the extensive offer.
In order to make the view and the history of Ehrenberg tangible for everyone, the Ehrenberg Castle World is being expanded by an attraction.
The new, fully automatic inclined lift provides comfortable and, above all, barrier-free access to the newly installed exhibition on siege and defence technology, in the Hornwerk and to the highline179. The so-called "Ehrenberg Liner" started its journey on 12 April 2019.
With its proud length of 406 metres, the highline179 can officially call itself the world's longest pedestrian suspension bridge in Tibet style.
Ehrenberg Castle World: the attraction for young and old, open and inviting - in every season!
