The fishing association for the province of Vorarlberg is the legally recognised representative body for fishermen. It has its headquarters at the Landesfischereizentrum, Auhafendamm 1, 6971 Hard. The association is an umbrella organisation. Members are fishing associations based in Vorarlberg and managers of fishing grounds.
Tasks
The tasks of the association are basically regulated by law. More detailed provisions on the tasks and the organisation of the Association can be found in the statutes which the Association has adopted for itself.
The tasks of the association include in particular:
Representation of the interests of angling in Vorarlberg
Co-drafting of laws and ordinances in the field of fishing
Promotion of young people interested in fishing
Advising fishing clubs and managers on fisheries-related issues
Issuing publications
organising and conducting fishing examination, management, warden and electric fishing courses.
The Fisheries Association for the Province of Vorarlberg is also a member of the Austrian Fisheries Association.
