Stubenberg am See, has been known for years among balloonists as an ideal area for ballooning. There is probably no other region in Europe that is as attractive and offers such stable weather for ballooning as O(b)ststeiermark. It is no coincidence that two European and two World Balloon Championships have already taken place in Stubenberg/Schielleiten.
Which season is best suited for ballooning cannot really be said. This depends on personal taste.

We, the FLAGGL Ballooning GmbH, carry out balloon rides all year round, whereby each season has its scenic and climatic attractions. After the start, which is usually carried out by the Baroque Schielleiten Castle, the trips take us across the beautiful O(b)ststeiermark, depending on the wind direction. On each trip we would like to give our passengers an understanding of the beautiful view of 2000m, but also of driving just above treetops and rooftops. After 1 to 1½ hours, the landing is usually gentle. The following baptism of the balloonist is also traditional, and during this ceremony one is also elevated to the nobility. The emotions and impressions one collects during a balloon flight are hard to put into words, one simply must have experienced it.
