After a hike of around 45 minutes (from the Lämmerbach car park in the Hintersee municipality) you will reach the cosy Mayerlehenhütte on the Gruberalm. A walk that is always worthwhile: the alpine hut that we run is a prime example of a rustic dining address with an incomparable alpine atmosphere.
While some enjoy the must, organic alpine milk, homemade Hollerkracherl as well as organic bread, organic bacon, cheese, spreads, cheese dumplings, meat doughnuts or the excellent tasting, freshly baked farmer's doughnuts, others celebrate the premiere of milking the cows or watch the chamois. The little guests romp around in the sandbox, walk on stilts and play with the animals. Also possible: sleeping in the hay/mattress camp, camping, barbecuing at the campfire, and by appointment there are guided nature and forest tours and the "School on the Alm" project.
