Participation, mediation and a lively educational mission is characteristic of the Fronfeste Museum and is thus committed to safeguarding our quality of life and the diversity of the natural and cultural environment with creative projects.
With the existing infrastructure, sustainable development opportunities in Neumarkt and in the region are stimulated, networked and supported.
"Poverty yesterday and today, and what is tomorrow? With this exhibition, the Museum in der Fronfeste, together with the Robert Jungk Library for Future Issues, has implemented an Agenda 21 process with cultural focal points as a model community for the province of Salzburg.
The project "WasserWunderWallersee. Spiel und Experimentierpark" in the nature reserve in the eastern bay of Lake Wallersee stands for sensitisation to the subject of water. The "Schanzwallweg" (bulwark path)
(part of the project "Wanderbare Sinne") is a successful example of the importance of our historical roots as the basis for a common development of our life culture.

The major social trends - development of information technology, increase in productivity in industry, globalisation of the economy, demographic change, pluralism of values, EU enlargement and migration, progress of scientific institutions - present our society with enormous, historical new challenges.
An important factor here are the multifunctional challenges of the Museum of Contemporary Art: cultural mediation - architecture - marketing - sustainability, with the focus on people and human dignity.
