Up to 10,000 miners searched for and found silver and copper here 500 years ago, making the town of Schwaz the largest mining metropolis in the world! Guided tours
On a classic guided tour (duration approx. 90 minutes) in our silver mine, you will gain a fascinating insight into the rough and tumble life of the Schwaz miners during the silver heyday in the Middle Ages. Guided tours take place every 10-30 minutes in the high season and every 40, 60 or 120 minutes in the low season (details under opening hours).
