City. Experience the city centre
The city centre of St.Pölten shows itself from its best side. With well-preserved buildings from past eras, it is a real gem.
Those who already know the city know what it has to offer. History and culture on every corner and in every square. If you don't know St.Pölten yet, you should quickly make your way there. It is certainly worthwhile. Take a close look.
Of course, we could tell you pages and pages about the oldest pharmacy in the city. Or we could tell you in detail about the most beautiful buildings by the baroque architect Jakob Prandtauer. We are happy to give you a brief overview here. Better still, take enough time to visit and explore St.Pölten yourself.
Lift your head and look up - there is a lot to discover there: plates on a house façade, artistic spider webs, rosettes, inscriptions, frescoes...
Tip: St.Pölten is best explored on a city walk. Whether as an accompanied city walk or on your own with the free "Hearonymus" smartphone app is entirely up to you. Arrive & View.
The folder "Your City Guide" describes a tour of the city. An included city map facilitates orientation.
